This piece is about the changes that affect humans as we mature. I have been contemplating the Pandemic as a recent catalyst of changes from which we were forced to shed old selves. The sudden lifestyle adjustment delivered uncomfortable moments and uncovered both layers of the individual and the collective. The petals represent these concentric layers and deeper truths which shifted our priorities and released masked personas that helped us cope with daily life. New time for introspective reflection has helped us rid ourselves of the unnecessary that we can now use to fertilize our personal nourishment. With a new outlook on life, we have risen to be stronger and more resilient to continue onward with this bud of realization. This work is dedicated to all of those who have been transformed by this regrowth and have, in the name of our blossoming integrity pushed forward despite the growing pains and grief brought on by this process.
